The Bohle family has a long association with the bicycle sector; in fact over 70 years ago the great uncle of Ralf Bohle, the present group chairman, was a co-founder of world renowned, bicycle manufacturer "J. A. Phillips & Co. Ltd", based in Birmingham, so links with the United Kingdom go back a long way. The present company, Ralf Bohle & Co GmbH, has been in the two wheel tyre business for over 30 years and was the first specialist company of its type involved in technology transfer with far eastern manufacturing partners.
